What do we know about peri-implant diseases so far? Case definitions, risk factors, and management

As a recent graduate from DClinDent training, I am fortunate to have this opportunity to join this wonderful dental community in Wellington.

I travelled overseas to pursue my career as a dentist soon after graduating from physio school in 2005. I returned to New Zealand in 2013 to obtain the registration that allows me to practice here and eventually returned to the dental school wanted to understand more about periodontal diseases. My research topic was about Ti particulate released from the Ti surface during mechanical debridements.
